All-Tex factory extension plan faces refusal

An extension to the All-Tex clothing recycling plant in Cloughmills is currently facing refusal by planners.

The firm wants to provide additional loading/storage bays, but planners say it has not been demonstrated that there will not be an adverse impact on the environment.

And planners also say the site lies within a flood plain and it has not been demonstrated that the site is not at risk from flooding or will cause flooding elsewhere.

The firm said they did not wish to comment at the moment.

When All-Tex relocated to the the former Reid Transport premises, they brought with them several jobs to the Ballymoney Borough, and the company has often said they want to grow bigger.
