Police are investigating the suspected theft of 17 sheep from a field on the Ballybrack Road, Cushendall. The sheep are thought to have been taken sometime between 14 August and 10 September and included 16 cross bred Leicester ewes and a lamb.

Police received a report of a theft from an out house in the Mount Pleasant area of Bushmills. The suspected theft involved a set of ladders having been taken and a door screwed off and stolen. The incident happened sometime between the evening of Thursday 11 September and the morning of Friday 12 September.

Police are investigating an attempted burglary at a jewellery shop on Ann Street, Ballycastle in the early hours of Wednesday 17 September. The outer pane of a double-glazed window was smashed but the intruders did not get inside the shop. It is believed that two men were involved and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time.

Police arrested a driver on suspicion of driving with excess speed, taking and driving away and driving without insurance. The arrest was made on the Kilraughts Road on Tuesday 16 September. Police are reminding drivers of the need to drive with due caution and within speed limits following the arrest.

Police were called to a report of suspicious activity in the Castlehill Place area of Ballymoney in the early hours of Friday 19 September. It is thought that someone gained entry to unlocked car at around 4:30am. The owner reported nothing of worth taken from the car but neighbours saw a man wearing a hoody run away from the scene. Police are asking people to lock vehicles at all times following the incident and are appealing for information.
