Piotr Zahaczewski of Lakelands, Craigavon, was also fined £250 and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy.

The court heard that police saw a car parked at the entrance to Annesborough Road and the defendant got out of the passenger side. Checks revealed there was no insurance for the
vehicle.

He was the owner of the vehicle and he admitted the offence.

The driver was Artur Nowakawski, Lakelands, Craigavon, and he admitted driving without having insurance.

He has other matters in court on April 10 and this case was adjourned until that date for sentencing.

Mr Conor Downey, representing both defendants, said the court would be concerned about Zahaczewski’s record which had entries in 2007 and 2009 for this type of offence.

He added that the car was now fully insured.

It was used primarily to get back and forward to work.
