Almost 1,000 accepted as homeless in Londonderry

ALMOST one thousand people are accepted by the Housing Executive to be homeless in Londonderry.

After Belfast the city has the highest number of applicants (983) accepted as homeless in Northern Ireland.

By contrast, in neighbouring Strabane just 84 applicants are accepted as homeless, the lowest amount of people in the province. The figure for Limavady is 130.
