The scheme, which will release funding of close to £1M in the 2015-2016 year, has opened for applications in nine categories, from sport, arts and culture to festivals, events and community support.

Speaking as the call for applications opened, Chair of the Council, Councillor Linda Dillon, said: “In this programme, Mid Ulster District Council is bringing together the various elements of the grant aid schemes delivered by all three former councils, helping to ensure that individuals and groups in the voluntary and community sector can continue to benefit from the kind of funding which can be so vital for their work and activity.
