Almost two dozen reports of youths causing annoyance

PATROLLING is to be stepped up by Carrick PSNI in the run up to Halloween.

The warning comes after 23 calls were received by police between 4 and 11 October in relation to youths causing annoyance at the following locations: Victoria Road, Joymount, Lancastarian Street, Scotch Quarter, Sandringham Court, Salia Avenue, Drumhoy Drive, Coronation Road, Bluefield Court, Red Fort Drive, Shaftesbury Park, Carrickfergus Railway Station, Farm Lodge Court.

There were two calls in relation to The Hollies, Prince Andrew Way and Whitehead Railway Station.

Inspector Tommy Mahood, of Carrick PSNI, said the period leading up to Halloween is increasingly busy for police and that “additional resources and patrols” are being deployed.
