Amazing little Highland dancer to ‘Grace’ Tattoo again

Among them is amazing Grace Kelly, who enchanted Tattoo goers last year with her fancy footwork despite her tender age - she was only five.

This year the cute little dancer will once again be giving the Tattoo everything she has got as one of 104 Highland dancers staging two spectacular dance routines ‘Water Dance’ and ‘Rocket to the moon’, choreographed by her cousin and dance tutor, Georgina Kee-McCarter.

The tiny dancer captured the hearts of thousands of spectators when she stepped out under the spotlights at the Walled City Tattoo last year, with the Sollus School of Highland Dancing.

She drew rapturous applause as her tiny frame bobbed up and down and her slippered feet floated over the uneven surface of the arena At Ebrington Square, as the skirl of pipes spiralled around her and her fellow dancers.

The six-year-old daughter of Lesley and Stephen Kelly, of Magheramason, Grace said she was looking forward to the Walled City Tattoo 2014, and was not in the least nervous.

In the past year she has moved up a level in her dancing, and her grandmother, Gretta Campbell, has also made her a new kilt to celebrate her milestone.

According to cousin Georgina, Grace is “just obsessed” with dancing and is not in the least nervous of performing at the four-night spectacular which runs from Wednesday, August 27 to Saturday, August 30 from 8.45pm to 10.30pm.

Tickets are £18.50 to £32.50, and there is disabled seating for £20.

Over 15,000 are expected to attend this year’s event, which will include motorcycle display team, ‘The Imps’ as well as Swiss group Starbugs.
