Ambulance damaged in Coleraine incident
Two men were arrested during the incident at 8.20pm.
Chief Inspector Nicky Thompson said: “Police responded to a report of damage caused to an ambulance and around ten people having gathered around the vehicle.
“The situation quickly de-escalated when police arrived.
“We established that we were also dealing with a stabbing incident when a man who was at the scene presented himself with wounds to his back.

Hide Ad“He was taken to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening
“Officers arrested two people in relation to the stabbing incident and the damage caused to the ambulance.
“An 18-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
A second male, aged 17, was arrested for common assault and criminal damage.
The investigations into both matters are continuing.”
