American visitors come to Anahilt Presbyertian Church
The Rev Gareth McFadden and members of Anahilt Presbyterian Church recently entertained visitors from Tennessee, USA.
Mrs Joy Leonard and Mr Carl Summar, descendants of the Rev John McBroom, minister of the congregation from 1662 until 1683, toured the present church and travelled to the location of the first church on Windmill Road.
They later spent time at the Rev McBroom’s burial site in Annahilt Parish Churchyard.
Accompanying them were Dr Jonathan Mattison, Mr John Magee, Mr Jonathan Leonard, Laurence Hooke, Mrs Sharon Summar and Stanley Graham.
