The CBOI, Ireland’s leading youth orchestra, is made up of 110 young musicians aged 12 – 24 years from both sides of the community and both sides of the border.

It was established in 1995 as a means of bringing young people of all traditions, cultures and faiths from all over Ireland together to promote tolerance and understanding through the power of music.

It is this promotion of unity that connects it so closely to the ethos of Integrated Education.

The tour, which lasts seven days, will climax with a performance on the prestigious stage of Carnegie Hall, New York on Thursday October 30 at 7.30pm.

To play on the stage of Carnegie Hall is quite an honour and like every other musician Amy is very excited at the prospect.

The CBOI is now recruiting new members.
