Andrea Begley to join legendary artists at Opera House

POMEROY SINGER and The Voice winner, Andrea Begley, will be joining two of the biggest names in music at the Grand Opera House this weekend.

The talented young performer has been given a prestigious billing alongside none other than US singer songwriter Beth Nielsen Chapman, as well as Belfast artist, Bap Kennedy, this Sunday night, April 27.

Considered by many to be one of the finest singer/songwriters of her generation, Chapman has penned hits for artists including Emmylou Harris, Bette Midler, Elton John, Neil Diamond, Roberta Flack, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Willie Nelson.

In concert her songs are interwoven with wonderful story telling, all rooted in folk and Americana traditions, adding to the emotion and magic of the experience.

On her new album, Uncovered, Chapman’s prowess at writing in a wide range of styles shines through, from infectious pop sensibilities to strains of bluegrass and country, the true thread that runs through it all is a her great passion for the well written song. It is also clear that she has a blast performing these songs.

Beth will be joined by Maart Allcock on bass, Ruth Trimble (keyboards/vocals) & Tripp Dudley (Drums/percussion).
