Andreena, a former pupil of Ballymoney High School, came to NRC following her GCSE’s to study the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care in September 2011. She was recognised for her exceptional academic course work, achieving her, distinction grades, her commitment and enthusiasm and her performance in her work placement.

Gerard Quinn, NRC Head of Faculty, Care, Access and Creative Arts said: “This young woman is a real all rounder. She has worked in a range of health care settings which included extensively children, the elderly and most recently palliative care. Supervisors singled Andreena out as one of the best work placement students they had ever worked with and indicated that Andreena had all the qualities necessary to make an excellent nurse. They drew attention to Andreena’s innate ability to care, her common sense and the wisdom she displays, which is way beyond her years.” Andreena ambition is to pursue a career in Nursing and progress to Queen’s.
