Earlier today, Friday, Kilfennan man Andrew Duncan embarked on a strenuous physical feat to walk the Peace Bridge, Limavady Road and Craigavon Bridge to raise awareness and money for the British Heart Foundation.

Mr Duncan has suffered from a heart condition which makes it difficult for him to walk at times, yet he bravely fought freezing temperatures and high wind to make the trek, raising around £1,000 in the process for the charity.

The 37-year-old father-of-two was born with an inherited gene that led to him develop the life-threatening condition known as cardiomyopathy. It is the same illness that killed his father at the young age of 40.

Sentinel reporter Olga Bradshaw caught up with Andrew as he set out on his epic walk.
