Anniversaries exhibition

AN exciting exhibition marking key events from 1912 to 1914, such as the signing of the Ulster Covenant, the campaign for female suffrage and the labour & trade union movement has opened at The Braid.

Bringing details of the Decade of Anniversaries Exhibition to Councillors at their latest monthly meeting, last Monday night, Council’s Chief Executive, Anne Donaghy, told members that staff had been involved in putting a local “stamp” on the exhibition and that members of the public had responded positively to an appeal for loans of artefacts for inclusion.

Councillors were also told that the exhibition, which would run in the Braid until June 26, would have its official borough launch on March 20.
