For The Cloughmills Vintage Club will be staging its annual vintage rally a bit earlier this year - more than a month earlier to be exact, on Saturday, June 20th.

In previous years, the Cloughmills Vintage Club event always took place on the last Saturday in July, but as the Armoy Road Races now also run on that date, the Cloughmills vintage folk have decided to move their rally forward to make it easier for people wishing to attend both events.

As usual the rally will be staged in a field belonging to Cyril Orr at the rear of Patton’s Bar in the

village of Cloughmills.

As well as welcoming all sorts of vintage machinery, the rally this time around will have special emphasis on tractors and implements - the more unusual the better. There will also be a repeat performance of the donkey derby which appeared for the first time last year and turned out to be very popular.

There will stall holders, marketing all kinds of everything, canteen facilities in place, and a bit of music going along with amusements to create a special carnival atmosphere.

The rally will have as its main sponsor, McCarroll Plant Hire of Kilmandil Road.
