Annual relief of Derry parade

THE Annual Relief of Derry parade of the Apprentice Boys of Derry Club, Claudy Branch was held in Upper Cumber Presbyterian Church on Sunday. The preacher was the Minister of the Church, the Rev. Hiram Higgins.

Over sixty brethren paraded to the Church from Claudy Orange Hall, led by Aghanloo Flute Band from Limavady. Brethren from the Apprentice Boys of Derry Parent Club, Convoy, Donemana, Fawney Fort and Edenmore Branch Clubs were in attendance

The Rev. Higgins’ sermon text was entitled, 'A Death worth Celebrating' and Bible readings were read by the Club Chaplin, Bro. William Hamilton and the Deputy Chaplain, Bro. Donald Eakin.

During the service, new Collarettes for the Club Officers were dedicated by the Rev. Higgins.

Afterwards, the Brethren paraded back to the Orange Hall.
