The firm’s communications chief will handle communications, marketing and branding, including choreographing a distinct, attractive media presence with creativity and digital connectivity at the heart of local, national and international media campaigns.

Meanwhile, two senior programmers will develop partnerships with local and international cultural institutions who will deliver key aspects of the programme, including commissioning and working with cultural producers on large scale events such as the opening celebrations Sons and Daughters, the Return of Colmcille, Field Day proposals and the closing celebration “Our New Story.” They will be supported by four junior programmers.

The recruitment drive follows advertisements for the posts of “Board Business Manager” and “Personal Assistant to the Chair and Chief Executive” following the appointment earlier this year of the City of Culture Chief Executive.

The Sentinel asked how much the new directors and programmers would be paid and were advised the salaries were negotiable.
