Between Thursday, December 4 and Wednesday, December 10, Moores Quality Hams was broken into on three occasions. The first time thieves took ham and bacon, while on their second visit they stole pork from the meat processing premises in Annesborough Industrial Estate.

The latest burglary saw a quantity of hams taken with the burglars using a vehicle to make off with their spoils.

Given the frequency of the burglaries it’s raised suspicions the meat is being stolen to order.

Detective Chief Inspector Stephen Wright said: “We are advising all businesses to be vigilant and asking businesses in the industrial estate and those who live in nearby residential properties to report any suspicious activity to us at the earliest opportunity.”
