Another ‘white-line picket’ for Dungiven next month
Another ‘white-line picket’ is planned for Dungiven on Friday, December 6 to continue to pressure Regional Development Minister Danny Kennedy on the issue of a bypass for the town.
The first protest was held on Friday, November 1. Those involved in organising the protests say a white line picket will be held on a monthly basis for the forseeable future or until progress is made on securing a bypass for the town.
The picket protest was held after plans for a Dungiven bypass were overlooked again, despite additional funds being made available to the Stormont Executive in October.
