Entitled an Audience With David Harper, the antiques expert, best known for his regular appearances on Antiques Roadtrip, Bargain Hunt, Put Your Money where Your Mouth Is and Cash In The Attic, will be giving a talk on the fascinating genres of Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts and Art Deco, offering insightful tips and tricks of the trade on how to all understand and spot these beautiful and profitable artefacts.

The evening will also offer the opportunity for all amateur antique enthusiasts and heirloom hoarders to rifle through their attic and bring along an item for valuation.

Due to time constraints of David’s very busy filming schedule, the event has now been moved to an earlier start time of 6.00pm to accommodate the evaluation process.

David will be able to look at one small hand held item per person, however if he is unable to evaluate any items on the night he will happily provide valuation by email.

David has been involved with antiques and ancient artefacts since childhood and has been making his living in the antiques trade from the age of 18.

His media career came about rather by accident when in 1999 he was recommended by the curator of Bowes Museum to appear on BBC radio to discuss the value of art and antiques.

David loved the experience and his enthusiasm and infectious personality soon led to him being contacted by other radio stations to do the same.

This led to more radio work and eventually to the door of Channel 4 with their show Natural Born Dealers, and so a television career was born.

Tickets for this event are available, priced £5, by contacting Banbridge District Council Leisure on 028 4066 0605.

Advance booking for this event is essential.
