Antiques fair at Broughshane
ST. Patrick's Church, Church Entry, Rathkeel Road, Broughshane, Co. Antrim, are hosting an 'Antiques and collectables fair' on Saturday 11th September from 10.30am – 4.30pm in St. Patrick's Parish Hall. The proceeds are in aid of Mothers' Union Overseas Projects.
Mothers’ Union is a worldwide Christian organisation and members around the world are involved in a wide variety of activities empowering disadvantaged people, especially women with knowledge and skills enabling them to gain greater control over their lives, claim their rights, and improve their families’ livelihoods.
Across Burundi, Malawi and Sudan the Mothers' Union Literacy and Development Programme helps communities work together with confidence and newfound skills in their villages, displacement camps and towns. Long years of disadvantage and marginalisation are beginning to change, lifting people and their families out of poverty and shame toward a brighter future.
