Antrim girl is named Apprentice of the Year

Antrim's Lauren Gourley has won Apprentice of the Year at the Department for Employment and Learning's Apprentice of the Year Awards.

Lauren, 20, is completing an Engineering apprenticeship at Larne Skill Development and is employed by Schlumberger in Monkstown. The awards ceremony was held at the Titanic Signature Building, Belfast and was hosted by radio presenter Pete Snodden, with entertainment by David Meade.
