Antrim residents to benefit from additional Translink Ulsterbus services

Commuters in Antrim are set to benefit from additional town services being introduced from next month.

The move comes following on-going engagement with passengers and local stakeholders in key communities in the area.

John Morgan, Service Delivery Manager, Translink said: “We regularly monitor our services and listen to our passengers and stakeholders to identify and consider new opportunities for growth. On further review of our timetable schedules we will be increasing the frequency of some of our town service routes including the 321a and 321b, which will now run every 30minutes Monday to Friday during off-peak times.

“The 321e departing from Market Square will also see enhanced Monday to Friday frequency. We’re confident these changes will offer our customers more choice, flexibility and better access to the town centre.

“In addition, we would also remind Antrim residents that the great value £2 day return promotional fare is still available on town services after 9.30 a.m. until the end of March. We hope these latest developments along with our range of good value tickets will attract even more people to use the service,” John concluded.

Councillor Thomas Hogg, Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, said: “This is great news for the many residents who already avail of the popular Antrim Town service. I am delighted to see these additional services and would hope that this increase in flexibility and choice would encourage more people to use our public transport. I would like to thank Translink Ulsterbus for continuing to engage with their customers and constantly striving to improve their services.”
