AOH Hall attack

Black paint was used when graffiti of a sectarian nature was put on the hall at Rosnashane Road near Rasharkin between 8pm and midnight on Saturday August 6.

Police discovered the graffiti as part of their pro-active checks on symbolic buildings and they are appealing for information.

Tap stolen

An outside tap was stolen from a vacant house at the junction of Balnamore Road/Drumahiskey Road, Balnamore. It was reported to police on Tuesday of last week and was believed to have been stolen the previous weekend. A window was also broken.

Man arrested

A man (20) was arrested last Thursday in Cloughmills for an alleged breach of bail and taken to court.

Window broken

A window was broken in a living room at a house at Kilraughts Road, Ballymoney, near the junction with the by-pass.

A stone was thrown at the property some time between midnight on Wednesday August 3 and 8.30am on Thursday August 4.

Mullan Rd arrest

A man (23) was arrested for alleged criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon on the Mullan Road near Ballymoney in the early hours of Sunday August 7. He was released on police bail to go back to Coleraine PSNI Station on September 22.

Rasharkin assault

A 40-year-old man was assaulted in Rasharkin in the early hours of Sunday August 7.

He received facial injuries and was treated at hospital.

Police want to hear from anyone who may have witnessed an incident involving two or three males between midnight and 2.30am in the Riverdale or Sunnyside Drive area of Rasharkin. Police say the incident is not being treated as a hate crime.

Railway appeal

Police in Ballymoney are appealing for people to take care in the vicinity of the railway line which runs through the area.

Inspector David Anderson said: “We have had a couple of reports of trespassers on the railway line. People should stay away from the railway track and not be tempted to use it as a shortcut or as a place for kids to play. People should use designated crossings.

“There have been tragedies on railway lines before and we don’t want to see anything of that nature in Ballymoney.”

Car damaged

A car was damaged whilst parked in a car park at a petrol station at Rodeing Foot, Ballymoney. The owner returned to the vehicle and some time between 8.30am and 9am on Sunday August 7 and found a dent in the roof.

Dervock arrest

A man (30) was arrested in the Dervock area on the evening of Sunday August 7 in connection with alleged harrassment. He was given police bail to return to Coleraine PSNI Station on September 7.

Burglary

A 22-inch tv and a Sony PlayStation 3 console were stolen from a flat at Trinity Drive, Ballymoney, between 7pm and 8pm on Sunday August 7.
