Junior Stars Title

Lurgan girl Aoibhin Mitchell has won this year’s Junior Stars in Your Eyes competition.

The 14 year old impressed the judges enough to win the title at the competition held in Portadown Town Hall, last Friday night. Show producer, Kieran Corr, spoke to the MAIL:

“Aoibhin is a very talented young lady and she was note perfect with her performance. Sophie Doyle, from Aghagallon, came second; Abbi Turkington, from Bannfoot, came third; Meadbh McGrail, from Brownlow, came fourth; and Alex Truesdale, from Portadown, came fifth.

“I would like to thank all the acts who took part in the final and put on a great night’s entertainment.”

Mr Corr now looks forward to the annual Craigavon Has Got Talent competition, the final of which will take place on Sunday 14 June at Portadown Town Hall. This competition is open to all types of acts, such as solo singers; duets; groups; dancers; dance crews; musicians; gynmnasts, and magicians! Auditions will take place over two days: Saturday 30 May at Moyraverty Centre, Craigavon, from 1:30pm to 3pm, and Sunday 31 May at Brownlow Community Hub, from 4:15pm to 6pm.

The winning act receives the title, along with £200.
