AOVC Classic Show launched

ENTRANTS to this year’s AOVC Classic Show will set up at Ballymena Showgrounds on grass this year - weather permitting.

This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 25, supported by sponsors - Autoline, Irish Vintage Scene and Ballymena Borough Council.

The organisers have pointed out that even if it does rain ‘the show will go on’ with stands and exhibitors simply moved on to hard standings instead of greenery. Autojumblers and stallholders will be set up closer to the main display area, near the Slemish Hall, this year and anyone wishing to book a stand can visit www.avocclassicshow.co.uk for an entry form, call Janet on 02838350539 or email [email protected]

The 2011 event is open to all Pre-1990 cars, commercials, motorcycles, scooters, tractors, stationary engines etc. Club stands are free and can be arranged between club secretaries and the organisers.

All pre-booked entrants - individual or club - will be in with a chance of the prestige Finishers Award at the end of the Show and the first 100 pre-booked entrants to arrive through the showground gates on the day will get a free fry breakfast. Currently entries are coming in daily and there is an award for the furthest travelled once again.

A new attraction this year is the Trial Stars Motorcycle Display Team who will be putting on exciting displays throughout the day. Regulars can look forward to the reeturn of the food village, sit down meals in the Des Allen Suite, musical entertainment, amusements for the kids and a Craft Marquee.
