Appeal after purse containing precious mementoes is stolen

Police are appealing for a number of personal items to be handed in following the theft of a purse from a shop in the Market Square area of Antrim which occurred sometime between 4pm and 4.20pm on Tuesday, March 15.

The purse contained personal items of the owner’s deceased brother, Stephen Donohoe.

They were his driver’s licence and memory cards with poems for him.

Constable Ferguson said: “These items are of obvious sentimental value and the family would like them returned.

“I would ask anyone who has them to either hand them in to Antrim Police Station or post them to the myself, Constable Ferguson, at the station and I will return them to the family.”
