Appeal after woman is sexually assaulted

Police in Lurgan are appealing for information following a sexual assault.

It’s understand a man talked his way into a woman’s home in Lurgan Tarry before making advances at the lady.

It happened over a week ago though details only emerged today (Tuesday) from police.

Constable Andrew Leeman explained: “On Friday, November 14, around 2.30pm, a man called to a house and claimed to know the female occupant.

“The man offered to repair a boiler and was admitted entry to the house. He sexually assaulted the 41-year-old before she pushed him out of the house.

“The man is described as being around 50-years-old, approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build with dark hair. He spoke with a Newry accent and drove a white and blue Volkswagen Caddy van.”

Police are appealing to anyone who has information in relation to this incident to contact them in Lurgan on 101, quoting ref: 703141114.
