Appeal for public's help

YOUNG people are "hanging around" at an alleyway at Market Court in Ballycastle and creating anti-social behaviour, police in the town have said.

The youths are said to be causing damage to cars in the area as well as smashing bottles.

Now, Inspector Bryan Hume has appealed to the public to help them end the problem.

His comments came after a satellite dish was damaged during Sunday night at Market Street.

“We need the public’s co-operation. It is no use someone reporting an incident two days later. We need that at the time so that we can act.

“We did have a similar problem in the centre of the town, but with the help of the public we have solved it,” he added.
