Appeal for traffic signs at Culmore Road

ELECTION hopeful Mary Casey has appealed for traffic signs to be erected following another accident on Culmore Road.

A collision involving three vehicles close to the Magnet pedestrian crossing on Saturday at teatime, has prompted Ms Casey to appeal for signs to be erected urging motorists to slow down on the approach to the crossing.

“There was a the-car pile up on the Culmore Road at the Magnet pedestrian crossing on Saturday evening at around 6.45pm,” she said, adding: “We have been campaigning for years for a 30mph speed limit in the village area. I believe slow down signs need to be erected before the pedestrian crossings.”
