Appeal for volunteers
On the back of the recent television documentary focusing on the life-saving work of Foyle Search and Rescue and the interest that has come with it, Foyle Search and Rescue are looking to recruit a team of voluntary fundraisers to help raise the much needed funds to keep the charity running.
“On Thursday, July 5 we will be holding an open meeting at our Headquarters at 20, Victoria Road, Prehen, to try and set up this group,” said Amy Coll of Foyle Search and Rescue, adding: “We would ask any members of the public who would be interested in helping out with fundraising to come to our Headquarters at 8pm on this evening.”
Ms Coll said the organisation as keen to capitalise on the interest the documentary created to finally get a team of fundraisers up and running within the city.
