Appeal made for stolen puppy

AN APPEAL has been made to thieves who broke into a dog sanctuary and stole a puppy to return the animal to the premises.

The six-week-old puppy went missing between 3pm and 4pm last Thursday from the Dog House Sanctuary in Banbridge.

It’s believed the thieves may have come from the Lurgan area.

Jillian McFadden, president of the Dog House Sanctuary, said: “We are calling on whoever is responsible for taking this dog to return it as soon as possible. If they do so, we will not pursue any legal action.

“The puppy has not had any vaccinations, so it’s very important that this is sorted out or it could very easily catch a disease. We are not interested in pursuing a theft charge. We just want the puppy back. If the puppy is returned, that will be the end of it. The dog can either be left at the charity shop on the Dromore Road, Banbridge or any safe location where we can pick it up.”

The Dog House Sanctuary can be contacted by telephone on 4066 2460, or by emailing [email protected].
