Appeal over missing dog

A DOG owner has made an appeal to the public to help her be re-united with her missing sheepdog, Ben.

Cathy O’Hara from Mullan Road near Rasharkin said Ben went missing in the townland of Granagh just before thunder struck on Monday 18 June about 1.30pm.

The dog is a three year old dark brown and white collie. He is a big strong dog and has a very friendly temperment.

Said Cathy: “He is mad about sheep and someone may find him rounding up their sheep. He wouldn’t worry sheep but the owner would hardly know that and might shoot first and ask questions later. I would urge people to catch him and take him into an outhouse rather than shoot him. I have been in contact with the Dog Warden in both Ballymoney and Ballymena.”

Anyone with information can contact Cathy on 07968868001.
