Appeal to thieves

THIEVES who stole £650 raised as local guides staged a fundraising show have been asked to return the cash.

Members of St Oliver Plunkett Brownies and Guides, Lurgan had been staging the show at St Anthony's Hall last month.

It's understood around 650 was stolen as the girls performed on stage.

The show is an important event in their annual calender as it is raises funds for camping holidays, bus costs, etc.

The 'MAIL' was contacted by the husband of the troop leader who said: "This amount of money would have given a great deal of pleasure to many kids. I only hope that by publishing this the person or persons who stole the money will realise the upset they have caused to the leaders, brownies, guides, rangers etc and return the money."
