Appeal to think before ordering your prescriptions

The campaign was launched to reduce the amount of medicines wasted across the health service.

Sheelin McKeagney, Southern Local Commissioning Group Chairman and local Pharmacist said;

“By checking what prescriptions you have at home before reordering and by cancelling unwanted repeat prescriptions, it will cut down on the number of wasted medicines. People should also be reassured that prescriptions can still be reordered at a later date if needed.”

The campaign will run until March.
