Mayor of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council, Councillor Billy Ashe, is asking for anyone born in 1926 to make contact so as to help with local and national celebrations of the Queen turning 90 on April 21.

Mr Ashe said: “Any of our 90-year-old individuals or their immediate families are invited to get in touch as soon as possible to help mark this major milestone in our history and heritage.

“I am hoping to recognise them as part of the council’s plans to mark Her Majesty The Queen’s own celebrations as a local dimension to national activities.”

Family members or 90–year-olds themselves should contact the Mayor’s Office, telephone 028 2563 5059 or email [email protected] to make themselves known as soon as possible.
