The new arrangement is intended to make access for the public easier to avoid long waiting periods

At times that are often difficult – such as after a bereavement - the ‘appointment-only’ service will mean that registration can be undertaken with comparative ease.

The system covers a range of registration services, including for parents to register a birth, for a couple who are making preparations for a wedding ceremony or to allow a bereaved family to complete the necessary documentation.

The opening hours for appointments will be on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am to 3.30pm. When the new system comes into operation on April 3, appointments can be booked via the main enquiry line: 0300 1245 000, selecting option 2. (Larne).

Cemetery sales, bookings, searches etc. are not within the Registrar’s remit, therefore enquiries on these issues should continue to be directed to the Cemetery Office directly, phone: 028 2826 2384.
