Apprentice Boys prepare for parade

At the regular monthly meeting of Bendooragh Campsie club, Ballymoney final arrangements where made for the relief of Derry celebrations, on Saturday in the UK City of Culture Londonderry.

The branch club will meet at 8.00am in Bendooragh to parade the village, before making the way through Ballymoney where they will form part of a procession through the town involving other Apprentice Lodges and bands.

Once again this year Bendooragh Campsie club will host over sixty members of Inverness Campsie club Scotland, who will be staying in the Ballymoney area. The morning parade through the town will leave the Milltown at 10.00am.

Bendooragh Campsie Club will again be lead by Ballykeel LSOU - Ballymena.

Also parading the town will be Inverness Campsie club and Rasharkin Campsie club will Pride of the Maine, Ballymena and Tullagans Sons of Liberty accompanying the Brethren.

The clubs will parade thought the town to the old Coleraine Road to board transport taking them to Londonderry.

The evening parade should return around 6.00pm and parade through the town to Milltown.

Bendooragh Brethren are holding a Fun night at the race event on Friday 9th August in the Manor Hotel.

Everyone will be made very welcome and the first race starts at 7.30pm.

This will be followed by a buffet. To finish the weekend’s celebrations a disco will be held on Saturday 10th August again in the Manor and starting at 9.00pm.

Again everyone is more than welcome to attend.
