Approaching Greecastle

The Derry-Londonderry team make their way past the marker bouy just north of Greencastle, the finishing post for the third from last leg of their round the world race.

Sentinel reporter Olga Bradshaw captured the moment as they passed the marker, surrounded by a flotilla of approximately 15 small craft, which had turned out amid grim weather to accompany the team along the Foyle waterway.

Ahead of them a welcoming party had gathered at Greencastle to cheer the team as they passed the narrowest point of the waterway and entered Lough Foyle.
