April G Session sits pretty

The acclaimed showcase gigs at the Cellar Bar in Draperstown attract some of the finest and freshest talent the country has to offer and this weekend’s line-up does just that.

Taking the headline slot is Pretty Child Backfire, who with the help and support of a certain Mr Gary Lightbody, have been striving to make great waves on the local scene with 2013 set to be an exciting year.

Their exciting blend of indie rock has saw them championed throughout the local scene and have proven their ability to own a large crowd – as seen at last year’s Glasgowbury festival with one of the day’s stand out performances.

Support for the Draperstown lads comes from The 1930s and Those Ghosts.

The former are an acoustic based duo who perform catchy, sing-along anthems that have saw them tour the length and breadth of the UK on numerous tours.

The latter, Those Ghosts, are a brand new act from Strabane, playing only their second ever gig at the G Sessions but are no less experienced thanks to their shared time in a number of previous local acts.

The April G Session takes place at the Cellar Bar in Draperstown this Saturday, 6th April and is set to be one of the year’s best so get down early. Doors are at 9pm and admission is £5.
