April was sunnier than average
ARMAGH Observatory reports that April was drier, sunnier and slightly milder than average.
The total precipitation (rainfall/snow) for the month was 33.6 mm (1.32 inches), that is, about 40% lower than average.
The number of hours of sunshine was 167.6, which is about 15% higher than the April average.

Hide AdThe average monthly temperature was 9.1 degrees Celsius (48.4 degrees Fahrenheit), which is about one degree C higher than average.
The maximum temperature was 19.9 degrees C on the 11th, and the lowest air temperature was –1.1 C on the 1st. There were sixteen nights with grass frost and four with air frost.
