£17m in sick pay for WHSCT staff
The cost of sick pay for Western Trust staff last year was £17,313,741, according to the Health Minister Simon Hamilton.
That’s £1,443 for every staff member, on average, based on the Trust’s estimate that it employs around 12,000 workers.
The Minister outlined the costs of paying staff during periods of sickness absence in response to an Assembly Question.
