£300,000 resurfacing scheme to get underway in Tyrone

A major £300,000 resurfacing scheme is set to start on the B46 Crockanboy Road in Greencastle.

The roadworks will see a stretch of 2.7 Kilometres of resurfacing between the A505 Barony Road and Blackbog Road start on Monday (December 5).Infrastructure Minister Chris Hazzard said: “These works will deliver significant improvements to the strength and road surface quality of this stretch of carriageway. "The benefits of the re-surfacing scheme will help meet the needs of the local economy and improve transport connections for people, goods and services.”A full closure of this stretch of the B46 Crockanboy Road will be in place for two weeks commencing on December 5 , completion is expected by December 17 . Gortin bound traffic will be diverted via the A505 Barony Road and the C554 Greencastle Road and vice versa. The dates are subject to favourable weather conditions and TransportNI will keep the public informed of any change.TransportNI has carefully programmed the works operations and traffic management arrangements in order to minimise any inconvenience to the public, however motorists should be aware that some delays may be expected and that additional time should be allowed when planning any journeys.
