‘Architect my house’ for RNLI

He has netted a total of £2000 for Portrush RNLI over the two years he has run the fundraiser and is aiming to better last year’s total.

Ben from Portrush explained: “You will receive a one hour, no obligation, professional consultation to discuss any aspect relating to the modernising, extending and renovating of your home in exchange for a donation to the RNLI.”

One couple who took up the offer found the experience to be very beneficial with many now following through from the initial consultation and realising their extension or renovation project first hand.

“We took Ben up on his “Architect My House” fundraiser to see if our extension plans for our own home were feasible, both from a creative and practical perspective,” said Bruce and Julie.

“We found Ben to be very professional and approachable and he gave us sound impartial advice and inspiration for our extension. Following the initial meeting we then worked with Ben on realising the project, which we have to say has exceeded all our expectations. We love our extension and fully support the “Architect My House” fundraiser for the RNLI.”

Ben has found that the fundraiser has helped a lot of people who had found the task of consulting or even contacting an architect very daunting.

“Architect My House offers an opportunity to receive professional and creative advice from an architect without having to commit to plans and all within the comfort of their own home,” said Ben.

“Architect My House” will run this year throughout May, June and July in support of Portrush RNLI. It is open to anyone living within 45 miles drive of Portrush. There is a minimum recommended

donation of £30.
