Ardboe man Gerry Quinn raises £1,817 for mental health charity Niamh

Well done to local man, Gerry Quinn from Ardboe who recently went '˜the extra mile' for charity (or to be more precise 26.2 miles), by taking part in this year's Belfast City Marathon to raise funds for local mental health charity, Niamh.

Gerry’s efforts generated a massive £1817.81 which will help a range of wellbeing initiatives offered within Niamh’s network of Beacon mental health services.

Niamh (the Northern Ireland Association for Mental Health), has been offering support and services for people with experience of mental ill-health throughout Northern Ireland for nearly 60 years.

It also campaigns to raise awareness of mental health issues and challenge the stigma that often surrounds this health condition that can affect as many as one in four local people at any time.

Gerry’s efforts generated a massive £1817.81 which will help a range of wellbeing initiatives offered within Niamh’s network of Beacon mental health services.
