Are you an ex Miss NW 200?

TRAKS in Portrush will host a unique gathering of former Miss North West 200 winners later this month.

Filmakers Colin and Alywn James want the glamour girls to take part in their major documentary for BBC Northern Ireland – entitled ‘How the North-West Was Won’.

The now world famous Triangle races began in 1929 but the Miss North West’ weren’t being crowned until the 1960’s.

Inviting the girls for a trip down memory lane, Brian Moore from Traks explains: “ Come and share your stories and memories.

“The cameras will be there and we want to capture your reminisces of those glory days in the late sixties and seventies as well as the more modern races.”

A great night is planned and the organisers know already that many of the more recent Miss North Wests will be coming and they are hoping that the girls from ten, twenty and thirty years ago will also be there.

“The Miss North Wests’ are an important part of the long history of the race,” says film co-producer Anna Masefield.

The events will be held at Traks on Tuesday, February 22 from 7.30pm.
