Mr Pat Vernon, representing the defendant, said that on the night in question Seeley, who was pregnant at the time, was at her boyfriend’s parents’ home.

He added that she had an argument with her boyfriend, grabbed the car keys and stormed out of the house.

Mr Vernon explained that Seeley would say her head was ‘all over the place’ at the time and it was a spur of the moment thing.

District Judge Mrs Bernie Kelly, indicated that if the defendant had her full licence, both parts of it, in court she would have considered imposing points.
