Armed burglar at Lisburn home

A MAN believed to be armed with a knife burgled a house in Lisburn last week.

Police have appealed for information on the burglary.

The owner of the property in the Marna Brae Park returned shortly after 3pm on Friday to find the house alarm was sounding.

After calling out, the man was approached by an unknown male brandishing the weapon.

The man then ran out towards the Belsize Road.

A number of items of jewellery were later located in the garden.
