Armed Forces Day flag raising in Coleraine on Monday

The Mayor of Coleraine and councillors, along with Coleraine Branch of the Royal British Legion, have invited representatives from both local TA Regiments, who have both seen service in Afghanistan, members of all local ex-Service Associations and standards, The Phoenix Group and local Cadet Forces, Coleraine Fife and Drum, to take part in the raising of the Armed Forces Day flag at Coleraine Town Hall on Monday, June 25.

The timetable is:

09:45am to 10:00am Representatives assemble at the Town Hall; 10:15am Briefing by Parade Sergeant Major; 10:20am Parade to form up at the rear of the Town Hall; 10:25am Parade to March on; 10:30am Small Service The first Armed Forces Day was on June 27 2009. The now annual event is an opportunity for the nation to show its support for the men and women who make up the armed forces - from currently serving troops to service families and from veterans to recruits.
