Armed robbery

At approximately 4.50pm it was reported that an unknown male armed with what is believed to be a gun, entered the premises and threatened a female member of staff before making off with a sum of money. A second male was observed standing outside the shop.

Both males are believed to have made off on foot along the Academy Road.

The member of staff was not injured during this incident, however she was left very badly shaken.

Detectives would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Strand Road.
